And who the hell do you think you are to call Christians Bigots or to even criticize their beliefs as to whether they are saved or not? You are an idiot.

Know what? Great post! Christians shouldn't think they're any better then anyone else. Theoretically we are taught to regard all other religions as equals, and most Christians do not do so.
We all believe in the same God... Why do we have to be so childish as to say something like "My religion (mean of worship) is better than yours? ".
Oh, and saved? Please... are we really saved? We are all in this world together, all humans.
It's certainly funny how a lot of conflicts were started on Christianity's struggle for power... and when I say Christianity I mean the Church's wealth and influence (see The Inquisition and the Crusades).
But are Christians the only ones to blame? nope....
Other conceptual wars have been started... like WW2 ( started by Germany on the basis of the Supremacy of the "Aryan man".
Well, anyway... we're in this mess mostly because of our leader's search for money. Sadly, if we (Christians) would start actually reading our Bibles, we would know that this is horribly wrong... The conclusion is that it's ALL our faults for being here, not only our leaders' for being greedy and power-hungry, but our own for not opposing any resistance and start making a future worth living, after all... it is democracy, I mean who wants to live in today's World?

Christians didn't sentence the world to hell. God set the standard and has given human beings the CHOICE to live with Him, or without Him and having a resulting consequence (good or bad, your choice). Christians are the MESSENGERS, not the law designers of what is to come for all who do not believe in Jesus Christ, the savior. Telling a non Christian that you're saved is NOT the same as telling someone else they are not saved, we are not the ones casting the final judgment on your soul, we are not God. We are here to prepare you for what is to come without believing in Him because we CARE for the lost. Nobody is saved by default. We are all born into sin and we're all sinners. You have to enter into a personal relationship with the Almighty God and only through the blood of Jesus Christ can your sins be forgiven and passed over on the day of judgment. If you KNOW the TRUTH, HOW can you keep from spreading the news to everyone??? Only a selfish bigot would keep it to himself. Open your eyes. People who reject God, obviously like yourself, are the reason this world IS going to hell. And you're OK with that???

Sorry that you've experienced some rude people,
I can understand your being irritated.
The vast majority of Christians (especially the true ones) do not go around saying that at you, sorry about the ones who do. That "Holier-Than-Thou" attitude is really not proper christian behaviour, even if they claim to be christians, or if they are christian in other ways, its still an error on their part. Nobody is perfect. They still have things to learn. Don't fret, just ignore them, or tell them directly but politely that that attitude or way of talking you down was not very christian at all. Hopefully they will mend their ways and not harrass you like that. Oh, and please don't think all Christians are like that because most aren't, especially the true ones.
Peace be with you.
:)

I'd say religion is one of the reasons the world is going to Hell. More damage has been/is done in the name of god than in any other cause. Of course, statistically, most people practice some kind of religion...
Saying "I'm saved and you're not" isn't bigoted, it's just rude.

dude, just because Christians say that they're being saved doesnt mean that no one else is. why are you so against Christians anyways? It's not like they did anything wrong to you. Just because they might beleive in something you don't doesnt mean you should blame them for making the world go to hell.

This is a rant, not a question, and you shouldn't call someone a bigot if you can't spell it right. Your assertion is illogical and unfair - even if some Christians use unfair tactics and poor logic to make their points, it doesn't excuse your stooping to that level.

Since the phrase 'going to hell' is an allusion to christian beliefs regarding the afterlife, I guess they're responsible for the existance of the phrase, itself...

No one is going to hell because hell is already here. Most people live in misery. The world will cleanse itself eventually and we will only be a fossil record........
