Baby shampoo. Dog shampoo is too harsh on their skin and can cause dry skin. Unless your vet tells you to use a specific shampoo sold form the vets office Don't use it. Baby shampoo is soft and gentle. Make sure to clean out the ears really good after. A lot of ear infection are caused from water trapped in the ear canal.
To clean them you want to use 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar, or get a cleanser from you vet like epi-otic, After the bath, fill up the whole ear with the solution and massage the ear for 15-20 seconds. Let your dog shake its head. This allows some of the solution to penetrate deeper in the ear. Then take a soft material like cotton balls and gently wipe out any gunk in the ear. Don't force anything in the ear. Cleanse both ears like that anytime your dog gets wet from a bath, rain, water fight! If you notice that smell wont go away then go to the vet its probably an infection of some kind.

Brush her before the bath, then use a good dog shampoo from the vet. Dry her with a towel, and brush again.
Then if you can take her for a walk in the sun, when you get back, she should smell fine.

I use the brand CRAZY DOG shampoo and spray conditioner. The tropical rain forest scented one smells good and my dog never smells like wet dog, plus it gets rid of dander!!

You need a finishing spray. Check with a groomer and see if you can get some from them. The one I used was like a can of hair spray (but not hair spray) It smells like the dog just came from the groomer and I believe it might also conditions the hair.

Use baby shampoo and make sure you scratch off the soap when u wash it off. I also take off all extra hair as possible. Dont let them roll around until they are at least 80% dry. Works for me and my lab!

She will smell like a wet dog as long as she is wet. As soon as you bathe her, towel dry her and use your blow dryer and that is it.
