Istanbul is of course a major city and exotically wonderful with the massive and beautiful blue mosque, Topkapi and the bazaar. Other places I enjoyed were Efes ( not sure of spelling) which is near Kusadasi. Its the best preserved classical ruins anywhere. Really, a whole city preserved. For sun and fun I like the area around Bodrum. Bodrum itself is a pleasant sea-side resort city of medium size. Plenty to see and do, but I enjoyed staying in a small hotel in Bitez which is not too far away. The hotel, Hotel Okalyptus, is small and very beautiful with pool and beach. Very cozy, very friendly and helpful staff who all spoke good English as well as several other languages. In the village are a few small travel agencies where you just pop in and they offer all sorts of little day trips which they arrange for taxi or escort or whatever you need. We took a trip to Pammukale and one to Bodrum city and another to a famous market and on a rainy day a trip to a big resort to use the spa and Turkish Hammam. My daughter recently stayed at a 5-star resort also near Bodrum called Kadikale Resort which she said was great for the whole family. We all love Turkey for holidays.

So many places as Turkey is a wonderful country.
Altinkum on the Aegean coast, Alanya, Marmaris, Olu Deniz in the south. Take your pick. Lots of history to see inland and do go on the many cruises offered.

hi there-great choice of country to visit-you must try visiting the gorge i think it is europes second largest the water is freezing and the temp is red hot you can also have a beer and the baby trout swim around your drink in a special made bar-dalayan is fantastic and all the stars have visited the mud baths also on the boat ride in dalayan it is where the film the african queen was set-and finally its to in my opinion the best the blue lagoon at olu deniz absolutely beautiful with crystal clear waters and if you are feeling dareing climb up the mountain and paraglide down on to olu deniz beach 7,000 plus feet down-good luck and i hope you have a great time i will be there end of july brilliant.10/10!

Olu Deniz is beauiful as is Icmeler (outside Marmaris) .,Ive been to both, both pituresque and fab beaches.Not too buys though so you need to travel into marmaris if you want to go to a nightclub - but its only 15 mins and you can get the water taxi which is lovely. Im going back to icmeler in 23 days (and counting) cant wait

Dalyan, its really lovely, we go twice a year and some places (like Bodrum) do day trips. Theres also a gorgeous restaurant called Ley Ley which is also a stork preservation, theres a lake and a waterfall in the middle of the restaurant, its realllllllly nice!

Kusadasi best tourist area ever loads to do there and plenty of day trips to go on too. Enjoy!!!
