What hole are you talking about
the blackhole
Bush or the ozone

dont you think scientists have been measuring things for a long time
and they dont just look in the sky.

Everybody with half a brain who can read now knows that global warming exists
But many still dont believe that humanity has helped it along
and it is also a part of a natural cycle

There's a lot of confusion surrounding global warming and climate change and quite often people get these mixed up with the hole in the ozone layer. They're actually two different things, there are certain links between the two but the links are quite remote.

We know that global warming exists as a natural phenomena and all the evidence points to humans having an increasingly significant role to play in the unprecedented warming that's been occuring in the last 150 years or so.

As for the hole in the ozone layer. It's not really a hole as such, more a thinning out of the ozone layer. It does this of it's own accord but then it replenishes itself so it exists within minimum and maximum limits. Until about 20 years ago we released many chemicals into the atmosphere (you'll have heard of CFC's - this is one of the groups of ozone depleting substances), these chemicals were rapidly destroying the ozone layer, since ODS's were banned the damage that was being caused has stopped. In about 100 years the ozone layer should have repaired itself.

I took a class last year called AP Environmental Science in school. That class is supposed to be all about preaching about how there is Global Warming. Prior to taking that class I read the book State of Fear which is a book I reccomend by all it is by Michael Crichton. This is a very informative and interesting book. I do not think that it exists though. I think it is all a theory and that the Earth is just going through a cycle. Do I think that we may be altering its natural process I do but do I think we are causing this warming trend and everything else that is comes along with global warming no. I think it is just a cycle of the earth. Also, there is proof that shows that the ozone is fixing itself so.....

Ozone is a form of oxygen containing three atoms of oxygen. The ozone layer is located between 10 to 50 km above the Earth's surface. Under normal conditions, stratospheric ozone is formed by a photochemical reaction between oxygen molecules, oxygen atoms and solar radiation. The ozone layer is essential to life on earth as it absorbs the solar ultraviolet radiations (UVR) from the sun removing much of the harmful parts of the UVR spectrum as they pass through the stratosphere. In recent years the thicknessof this layer has been decreasing, leading in extreme cases to holes in the layer. Ozone can be destroyed mainly by a number of free radical catalysts, the most imporatant of which are the hydroxyl radical (OH·), the nitric oxide radical (NO·) and atomic chlorine (CL·) and bromine (BR·) atoms.
The increased stratospheric concentration of chlorine from industrially produced CFCs, (Chloro Floro Carbons, carbon compounds having both fluorine and chlorine which are very stable and not degraded by any biological process) halons and selected solvents are the main causes of ozone depletion. Such compounds are extremely stable, surviving in the troposphere for 10 to over 100 years without being broken down. When CFCs and halons are released into the atmosphere, they rise slowly, taking up to seven years to reach the stratosphere. But once they are there, under the influence of the sun's ultraviolet light, chlorine is released and react with ozone to form oxygen and chlorine monoxide, with a depletion of the ozone layer as a consequence. Even a 1 per cent reduction in the amount of ozone in the upper atmosphere causes a measurable increase in the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the Earth's surface. This allows harmful solar UV radiation to pass through to the earth's surface. The lifetime of some of these ozone depleting substances is very long, and they may continue to deplete the ozone layer long after their use has been phased out. The ozone-destroying reactions take place most rapidly only under certain conditions in the stratosphere. These conditions – extreme cold, darkness and isolation, followed by exposure to light – occur over the polar regions after the long polar winter has finished and the first spring sun appears. Antarctica is the worst affected area, probably because the air above it is most isolated from the rest of the atmosphere. A special condition exists in Antarctica that accelerates the depletion of the ozone layer.  Every Arctic winter, a polar vortex forms over Antarctica.  Since there is an absence of sun during Arctic winters, the air becomes incredibly cold and the formation of ice clouds occurs.  When the sun returns in the spring, the light shining on the nitrogen oxide filled ice particles activates the formation of chlorine.  This excess of ozone destroying chlorine rapidly accelerates the depletion of the ozone layer. ofcourse hole in the ozone does exist. contact for more information for this topic and already there are hundreds of ansrs about global warming.... check out frm there. and if specifically u need ozone hole then i have information about tht.

I know for a fact that Global Warming does not exist. It's just a theory- it could exist, it couldn't. Most likely it's doesn't. It's just a normal change that the Earth is going through- a cleansing period. After "Global Warming" is over, there will most definately be an Ice Age. It does this every time there is a dramatic climatic change. Don't believe all the garbage that Al Gore is feeding you- it's just his interpretation of not-yet-proven scientifical data.
Oh, yeah, for all y'all that believe this crap, it's not our faults. We're not contributing to "Global Warming." As I said, it's just a normal cleansing cycle that our planet is going through right now.

Sorry the science behind global warming is faulty. I used to believe it, but after watching this British documentary, I'm definitely convinced otherwise (and I am quite liberal when it comes to the sciences!)

Search google videos for "The Great Global Warming Swindle". Now THAT is real science.

I believe that global warming is real. If you look at our weather, the most devastating weather related events are happening now. There is only one prodcuer of these events and that is GLOBAL WARMING.
