At my church, they do. My congregation is multi-racial. In some denominations, though, especially here in the Southern U.S., sometimes the churches are separate, particularly in certain types of denominations. It may just be due to historical or cultural factors. Perhaps some people feel more comfortable in a church in which their ethnicity forms the majority of the congregation, and where they already know people and feel accepted. And sometimes, the church is in a neighborhood that is predominantly either white or African-American. There are several all-Asian churches in my area, too.

God's church is not segregated if there is any of that it is done by man. God made a rainbow of people yet we find ourselves different.... yet we are not. Denomination makes no difference to God. He chose a congregation of believers and they are in the mist of the church all over the world. Yet they still suffer persecution because they are the true believers...the color of ones skin is the last thing anyone has to deal with....the word of God says to tell the good news where ever one goes--some are limited because they look on the outside and not on the heart. What is a Christian,a disciple of God,directed by the spirit of God...So what they say is from God and confirmed in the word of God the Bible.
There are white and black...in fact all races that attend churches all over America. There are churches that our so hung up on the racist sect. and the past history of the black and white race they continue to be blind. A person should be allowed to go to church where ever they want without insult. Most black Church's look so much into tradition and their heritage they forget the white man is just a few shades lighter he is still a man. What is strange about the white churches is they try too hard making one think they need to show we are not that way. Very friendly and smiling ever so big. White ministers do not have to brag...they try harder and teach all men are created equal. Black Pastors try hard yet they do not know they keep people in bondage with most of them it is competition "We want the same thing in our churches as the whites have".. God does not need a competitor!..These are the ones that keep racism alive. A black man brings his white wife...some are offended she is nice and friendly but the people look for flaws. White man marries a black woman takes her to a white church, even if they think it nothing is said. She is encluded in everything and encouraged. What the world do not know the white race loves to see the black race worship it is most exciting to them and they want to share in their worship. God gives them the same worship gifts as any other race and we are all one in the spirit no matter what race we are. When God refered to sheep in the Bible did he call them by color...NO! He is the good shepard.

I am not sure what world or what TV Millie is watching but his/her answers are crazy....I can give an answer for each of his/her riduculous scenarios that disregards his/her respond...
...if you go to any church in my community you will see a mixed congregation
...if you turn on any show on BETor any other network that a majority African American cast, you will see a white actor/actress. I can go as far back as "In Living Colour", there were several white actors, even as far as the "Jeffersons" the neighbor was married to a white man, and you may not even know this show, but this goes back to the 70"s "Julia" !!! They all were considered African American tv shows, and all had white actors.
...Almost every African American movie has a white actor/actress, it is impossible not to!
...And yes, there are Historically Black Colleges as they are called and not ***** colleges as you called them. Keep in mind, colleges originally were not instituted for any other race except the caucasian race. If you go on any HBCU campus, you will find mixed races including white students.
Do some research!
As far as the church thing, again, yes there are mixed race congregations, it mostly depends on the community and congregation. It is safe to say that in a lot of case black people and white people do praise differently and that simply as to do with culture and history.

unless it is a non denominational church of some type, here in the South they do go to there own churches for the most part. However, I attend an inter-racial non-denominational church and I have been to several all black churches. The worship service is great!!! It is a fun experience. :)

Mostly no. I think it all dates back to the slavery days. Blacks were more spiritual in the 1800's because their religion was the only thing good in their life. They knew what it was like to suffer and they found refuge in Christ. When slaves would gather together they would share their struggles and sufferings together and their bond in Christ was strong. After the abolishment of slavery there was this thing called segregation. The blacks and whites could not go to the same places together. There were African-american churches because of the segregation system in effect they could not go to white churches. I just think that they grew accustomed to the all black church system and it is just something they are accustomed to. I do wish that barrier would fall. I would like to see more African-Americans and whites in the same churches together under fellowship with Christ.

I think it depends on the community. It's the same thing that happens in high school - we can all act like race doesn't matter, but if you look at society, people tend to hang with people "like" them, and we separate each other without trying to be mean, but we do it unconsciously. That's why America has "white" areas and "black" areas. We don't like to admit it's true, but IT'S TRUE. In an area where there are all white people, the churches are going to be all white. In an area made up of all black people, the churches are going to be all black. Churches reflect the community they are in. There's no "forced" segregation involved, it's just humans "hanging out" with the people around them. Just like a school in a white area of town - the kids are going to be all white. Look at a school in a black area of town - the kids in that school are going to be all black.

Yes they do go to the same churches. However their are predominately Black and white Churches. The main reason for this is the difference in cultures. Black Churches tend to be livelier and more boisterous. White churches tend to be more laid back and quiet. Don't get me wrong their are some churches that go against what I just said but they are far and in between

There are a lot of churches that have white and African-Americans in the same churches. Most churches accept anyone who wants to worship God with them. They just don't want trouble makers.

I did it. I enjoyed being a member there for extra or less 5 or so years, then a marvelous type of the white human beings left that church - some observed the pastor to his new church area. I had to bypass away as quickly as I bumped right into a situation with between the older gents who felt he replaced into in love with me, and it seemed to be time for me to bypass on. I stayed in the comparable religious church neighborhood, I in basic terms switched the church that I attended, and elected to bypass to a newly formed one that replaced into additionally small, yet had extra human beings of my very own race. African American church homes are no longer the only ones that are robust, countless the Baptist church homes and Pentecostal church homes are very robust too. The question I even have for you is that this, what are you incredibly finding for? Did you desire to enhance as a Christian and learn certainty, information the scriptures as they're written? Or do you in basic terms desire to bypass to a church the place you spot human beings shifting approximately and doing some lively making a music? no longer all of those church homes coach the scriptures or coach you the right thank you to enhance as a Christian.
