I mean since jesus said he died on the cross for you, you must follow him no matter what? I'm sorry no thanks. Men lie all the time! And you can’t prove he really did it for you. Maybe he really couldn’t get out of it and died because he didn’t have any powers. Then his follows said they saw him to make what he said look true.
