my bf sometimes treats me like I'm his daughter. The age difference isnt that big, only 6 years. He said that he feels responsible for me as if I was his child.
He doesnt misstreat me or anything but its like he's tender and loving like I was really his daughter. I feel like I am sometimes. I like it but I think its a lil strange.
He says that he loves my childish side and says that he's amazed how childish yet lady like I can be!! He's very protective of me and he often just likes to sing me to sleep and stuff..
Does that mean he really loves me or does it mean he just thinks I'm childish!? Do you think this is a sign of love?

This is normal for a man to be protective of the female. God says that the woman is precious as a ruby and should be protected. He is doing what God created in him to do.
My husband does the same out of love for me.
Just be thankful that he loves you that much.
I'm just kinda glad my husband don't try to sing me to sleep.
He isn't much of a singer :P

Yeah, that's a little odd. Singing you to sleep? I don't know if that's adorable or creepy? I dont mean to sound rude, but that's a little weird. Ask him why he does that. Cause I'm dating someone 12years older than I am and he treats me like an adult, but at the same time watches out for me. But never sings me to sleep...I would ask....

my boyfriend is kinda like that w/me to......he is so protective like we were walking in the rain once and before it was even getting slipery he desided to hold me like almost pick me up so i would fall.....he always takes my things as if i cant carry them......i know how u feel.....but it doesnt mean that he thinks im (or your) childish....that just might be the kind of guy he is........my bf and my friends call me a little kid all the time......i think its just how u come off......but its not bad....unless it bothers u....if it does then u should say something!

If your 14 and hes 20 that is a BIG difference in age. ask him if he loves you for more than his 'daughter'.

Ummm... I think it may be a sign of love. But I would need more information. My ex treats me like his little sister and we are both almost 14! Still friends, but I don't get it either.

i think it's wierd...i have dated a women that was 9 years older than me...but never thought of her as a motherly figure.........
