I don't get it...why would they? Because they are willing to die for the United States government?

Because they know that, as soon as they return, they'd be killed for not being "true Iraqis".
I have a good friend whose heritage is Persian (Iranian). He knows that, should he ever return to Iran to visit, he'll be immediately siezed and forced into the Iranian Army, or shot for being disloyal.
Unlike you, Erudite, these people are not idiots. They know that they have a good thing going in the U.S.

Because his like Mexican. Poor Mexicans complain about no having any money well why don't u join the army u dumb nut. Same thing with Ur neighbor and plus his considered as a trader to his own coutry.

hey dingus....arab and iraqi are NOT the same thing...
But I agree it's a volunteer thing, and those kids aren't doing it because of the same reasons other kids of all other nationalities and races aren't doing it...they have no interest in it.

Because the war sucks. Just because theyre Iraqi doesnt make them stupid, why would they want to subject themselves to dying or torture for helping us, when they can live free here.
