the soldier thinks that flower and candy is sure getting more and more explosive these days. perhaps he is thinking how bush lied and now Americans died. likely he is thinking that dying for _ _ _ _ _ _'s wars and political / military objectives is not what an American should be doing. perhaps sober thoughts enter the young mans head about all the children and women he machine gunned earlier, or dropped napalm on, wondering if perhaps he will fare ok on judgment day.

Family matters are always the last words a soldier often said before dying.

Some years ago, I saw an interview with a man who had been shot while fighting in Vietnam. He said the first thing he thought was that his girlfriend was going to kill him. Then it immediately dawned on him that he was likely going to die right there in the mud.

He's thinking that the morally corrupt and ignorant Arab culture probably won't change because one soldier died trying to give the moderate reformers of Islam a chance, but maybe, just maybe, there is a jihadist dying from his bullets. And when he gets to heaven, (where the streets are guarded by Marines), he will steal that jihadist's 72 virgins because everyone knows that Arab chicks dig Americans.

I think he/she would think of their love one whether it be wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend. Their kids, family, and anyone else most important to them. Hopefully they know that their death will not go unoticed and the person who killed them, AMERICA will kill them back. Unfortunatley, too many soldiers are being killed and there are too many widows in this country now. My heart goes out to every family who has lost someone in the "war on terriorism" and any other war that has happened.
