Okay, I'm an atheist, but even I have to admit, I've yet to see a Christian created thread created soley to insult atheists, yet I see my fellow atheists attacking Christians all the time. I actually saw a thread titled "Why are Christians so freakin' stupid." Is that really helping our cause? Seriously, why all the attacks on Christians?

Look, it doesn't take a genius to browse through your other questions. You're not an atheist, so that's a commandment you broke there, which means you're going to burn forever in the lake of fire. It was too suspicious when you said you hadn't seen a thread started by Christians just to insult atheists. I mean, preposterous or what?!

Sorry, you sound like a very decent person, but I need to answer honestly. An atheist lives in darkness (Jesus is the Light of the world). Darkness is satan's luring people away from Truth which is found only in Jesus who is The Way, The Truth and The Light. Darkness hates the Truth that exposes it's heart that has not the Light (Jesus). So, therefore the attacks that you are describing comes out of the darkness. To some degree; 'Christians' may be causing their own problem. There are things in 'Christianity' that do need to be 'cleaned out' but have not been yet. With those things 'staying in' others may find 'Christianity' illogical.

Would you feel better if I started one? Just kidding. I wouldn't worry about it. We expect persecution. We don't take the attacks personally.
It really doesn't help your "cause" though, as it makes atheists seem bitter, angry and hateful. Most atheists I know are nice, good people; they're just nice people going to hell. That does make me sad, though.

You must be new. We get loads of questions here on the order of "Atheists are Idiots?", "Why choose Hell over Jesus?", "Non-believers--Do you know you're going to Hell?" These are invariably followed up with self-righteous rants about how stupid, or ignorant, or uninformed we are. It most definitely goes both ways here.

I think anger against christians is engendered by the harm they do. It may not be individual harm, bu they promulgate hatred like racism, homphobia and the like. It is all too easy to react to the general ignominy of their faith on an individual basis, though we really all know there is the odd OK christian.
