"The bald eagle will be taken off the federal endangered-species list today...."

Sorry, pros, and no offense, but whatever happens in the future, voters gave our elected officials a jolt today, in the true American spirit.

What do you think?

You know the bald Eagle is still on the threatened list. OUt in California where we both live that the Bald Eagle failed to return in numbers and the golden eagle has threatened our ecosystem. We need them in our channel island to ward off the golden eagle to protect the Channel Island Fox.

As for the bill, it's not the illegal immigrants that I see the bill as being a threat, but it's the mentality of the bill. Insane Liberals added all this garbage to dilute the meaning of Crime. They get us to tolerate illegal immigration first, then when I turn around they make felony into something that's not a big deal. This bill to me is more a symbol. It's a movement where crime is not a big deal. THis bill is a minor battle and it's a Borodino victory. THe fact the bill even existed is a step backward for our society. THere was no victory, since nothing has changed, except maybe some of our politicians are a bit more aware.

The true America to me is for people who work hard work smart and follow the rules have a chance to be rich, or atleast well provided. THis bill is a stab to the heart of those who got here fairly. What i see in this everyone is equal type mentality is that the harder I work the more I end up having to give to others. We are all treading water here. We're not going anywhere. Illegal immigration is merely a symptom of a greater disease, and I know you agree on this. We need to attack the disease, not just the symptom. We need to stop world globilization and the mentality that is seperating the rich from the poor even more.
Some have said we sent a message to our representative, well remember that when Gray Davis was running for governor. one third was upset with the politcs of California and sent both parties a message. I was one of the third that voted for the green party, and the Democrats and the Republicans both stated to us that we got the message. Do you think they remember the message we sent. Look at our Governor, Senators, and congressmen. Nothing has change.

SOrry I'm being glum today.

I think this is great, saw news on it yesterday. Remember as a child hearing the studies of the decline of the population of eagles and to see them finally off the list is great. A real sign of why the bill for endangered species was needed.

Yes.

And the court struck down racist busing laws as well.

This is one of the proudest days I have been about our government since Sam Alito defeated Ted Kennedy and Chuck Schumer (as in tumor) and was named to the Supreme Court (one of the few positive things done by George Bush).

God Bless America and God Bless the Bald Eagle and may both be around for a long time to come!!!

The symbol of our nation and our citizens is no longer endangered. The voices of our people have been heard as evidenced by the rejection of cloture.
Yes, it is very fitting and warms my patriotic heart.
The tear from the eye of the eagle is gone now.
Our eagle eyes' are watching clearly.

I think it is great that the US citizens have protected our symbol. I also believe that this represents America's ability to bounce back from anything that comes our way.
The Bald Eagle has battled its way back to gaining a healthy population.

I sincerely hope that is a good omen. Our country has been going to hell in a hand basket for so long, I am hoping it is not already too late.

We won a small victory today. but can't afford to go asleep.

I love the correlation you make between the two events. I knew about both, but didn't connect them.

It really is beautiful.

Our voices were heard and our power realized today.
