I am not talking about the virgin birth. Father, son and the holy ghost existed long before genesis. The son is the next generation and should not be an equal of the father. How did God beget his son? When we talk about babies, we mean sexual reproduction: meiosis, gametes, zygote, etc. But there is no female counterpart. Is God a hermaphrodite? Or did God repoduce asexually, like a hydra?

How did God create the universe?
All you need to know is that He said He did, and take Him at His word:

"I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD:
He said to Me, 'You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance,
And the very ends of the earth as Your possession. "
Psalm 2:7-8
one of many Scriptures....

God is neither male nor female... though, God contains the spiritual characteristics of both. God the "father" made the "son" (the first) out of the dust of the ground and breathed life into him, making him a living soul. When he fell, a second (the first of the spirit) had to be made for the salvation of the first and the children of the first. Through this "second" the first and his children+ came back to the father and became God's sons again. The first I suppose was like a "hydra" the second (first of the spirit) was through physical means... (a mystery interpereted different ways) so that what is physical and what is spiritual may come together.

God only produced a son because many people believe he did, but in all reality that never happened, Jesus was conceived by Joseph and Mary, and many theologians know this now, and most religious people simply do not want to know the truth, so religion gives them what they want even if it is not true, man can literally create what ever he puts his mind to, and religion is a creation of man God never had anything to do with it, there was a time that man had a God for every day of the week because he simply created what he wanted to meet his own need, the bible was created and written in order to control, and control it has and God is still no where to be found, people do have brains but vary few use them.

Well, first of all, the process of begeting his son, is in relation to him coming to earth, seperating from the father, and thus, becoming human. By seperation, Jesus gave up several key things. He gave up his place with his father, he gave up having a place in paradise, and most of all, he knew his place in history...he wasn't going to die easy.
Going through physical birth, and experiencing all the factors that man has to deal with in this life, he got to live, like a lot of us do. He learned a trade, he was a religious man, and he walked to places. He wasn't born wealthy, so he couldn't drive around in a chariot, and he also didn't nail someone with lightning if he got into an argument, so he gave up his ability to call for power if needed.
But there were cases, if he needed to show compassion, love, and help those in need, it was freely given, for Jesus was a king of peace, not one that would help Israel rise against the hated romans.
As for asking for creation, on how the one in three was created, you'd have a better time asking why there are angels to this day in chains. Or ask why charles manson decided it was a good idea to carve a swastika in his forehead. Man, in his intellegence, has a problem with things it doesn't understand, hence, asking if Jesus had a mother, is like asking why male seahorses have children. It's a unique issue.
There was a prophet, named Obidiah, who asked questions of God, as well....and as he asked, God would make his point known, bluntly. Why was Israel destroyed? For turning from God. Who did it? The babylonians. Aren't they more evil? True, but the Persians will wipe them out too.
God has his purposes for everything, and the wisdom to do what he does. If man had a clue on God's knowledge, we'd run out of memory in short order....or bleed from the ears, due to overload.

Actually using a greek lexicon "begot" here denotes a relationship between a father and son in relationship to ownership. Jesus is God's Son and so would receive all that is God's with his birth. Therefore, since everything is God's...everything is Jesus'.

Zeus appeared to a group of maidens as a white bull. A white bull more beautiful then any other. A bull that smelled of flowers, and lowed musically. A bull so obviously gentle that all the maidens rushed to stroke and pet it.

The bull laid down in front of Europa. She slid on to its back. Instantly, the bull charged off, plunging into the sea, and began to swim rapidly from the shore. Europa saw that a procession had joined them, Nereids riding dolphins, Triton blowing his horn, even Poseidon. From this she realized that the bull must be a god. She pleaded with him to pity her. Zeus spoke to her and explained his love. He took her to Create, where he had been raised. He promised that she would bear him many famous sons.

Her sons included Minos I and Rhadamanthus.

If you refer to John 3:16, the word more accurately meant "unique". Most translations have it read "only begotten" to express the uniqueness of Christ... but when I translated it I just left it, "For God so loved the people he gave his unique son..."

There's a difference between "beget" and "create". Beget implies sexual reproduction (for humans) Creation implies "something from nothing". God isn't "father" to any of us, he is creator of everything. Exactly how He did it all is still a mystery.

This is why I revert to islam...this christian explanations are so antropo centered...is as if they still believed the Earth is the center of the universe...Allah's nature is supreme to our human nature coz He is the creator of this universe

He is the creator of everything why he would need a partner to have a son with???

Look what Quran says:

"Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things. "

"But when He gives them a good one, thcy set up with Him associates in what He has given them; but high is Allah above what they associate (with Him). "

Hey Gregory L., look up the accounts of Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist.

Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Now to your question:
God reveals himself to us in ways that we can understand.

He knows that we understand the concept of family, so he speaks to us within our own finite capacity.

The truth is that God is beyond our piddly understanding.

When one of my children ask me a question, I could give them accurate technical definitions, or speak in ways that are way over their heads, but that would not help them.

So I break it down for them using illustrations and analogies that I know mean something to them.
