Either your mom said the wrong thing or you heard incorrectly. Mastication is the act of chewing food. I think what she meant to say was Masturbation will make you go blind. There is no truth to this. If there was, an awful lot of people would have seeing eye dogs and would be using canes---almost everyone that I know at least!
