Yes; I have what my dermatologist diagnosed as eczema in the scalp of my hair. It's only one spot where a small pimple like bump just suddenly pops up and it swells up a little like a pimple does and then it'll usually spread and cover a 1"x1" area at the left side of my scalp its about 2-3" from the "crown" area and I usually can tell when it's going to flair up because about 2 days before I get a bad headache that just won't go away it's like a nagging type of head ache that tylenol won't help. and then my head ache will go away after the flair up begins and I usually takes the bump about a month to go away and this usually happens to me about 4-6 times a year and has been happening every since I was about 15 and I am 21 now and still dealing with it. I have a very stressful life. and this is what happens to me when I have had enough.

Doctors do not know the exact cause of eczema, but an abnormal function of the immune system is believed to be a factor. Some forms of eczema can be triggered by substances that come in contact with the skin, such as soaps, cosmetics, clothing, detergents, jewelry, or sweat. Environmental allergens (substances that cause allergic reactions) may also cause outbreaks of eczema. Changes in the weather, or even psychological stress for some people lead to outbreaks of eczema.

Yes, I have had it. Where do you have problems? For me, it was on my hands and feet, primarily on my fingers and toes around the nails, on the sides of my fingers, and on the soles of my feet. They appeared drastically after a the most stressful period in my life. I still get very small outbursts occasionally when I'm stressed, but never as bad as that (the stress level will NEVER be that high again...) A suggested cause was pompholyx, or Dyshidrotic eczema. Good luck! For me, the one bad episode made it impossible for me to even use my hands. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!

Completely! I went through a horrible break up several years ago and my scalp began to flake in chunks. Even to this day, when I am super stressed at work, my scalp will flare up.
