I have only ever spoken to two American people who said they were on vacation whilst outside of London, and thats only because they used to live in the area.

I live in County Duhram in the North East of England (a beautiful are of the world if i may say so) and was in a place called blancheland having lunch at the Lord Crewe Arms public house when i saw these two.

I will be in England for two weeks next spring just touring the countryside. Outside of the day in and the day out, I will not be in London at all. Most Americans don't leave London because they are not in England long enough to see everything they want and still have time to get out into the countryside. If you are only in England for 2-3 days, it's just not enough time. However your point is correct, Americans need to get out and see the wonderful English countryside.

See you next year.
