I want to take her to the doctor to get it checked out. What type of doctor should I take her to?

Most likely you will have to take her to her general family practitioner and then if that doctors feels she needs a specialist then he/she will refer her to one. Most specialist want to have her refereed from a general doctor before they will see a patient. If her legs is real hot in the area that is hurting that could be a sign of a blood clot and that needs to be checked out asap. Hope that helps

If you don't know the causes of the problem, its usually good to start with a general physician who might be able to diagnose or treat the problem, and if not, refer you to the proper specialist.
