Black persons look on Mexican immigration?

For black people ONLY! Hello, I am black and wanted to know what did black people think of immigration. I see it as an attack on poor people just like the modern day civil rights movement, enen though they are not from this country. Rich white people keeping the people of color down no matter where they come from. And I think if you agree with keeping people of color down in the gutter, you consider yourself one of them thus being an uncle tom. What is your opinion.

I haven't really made an opinion on illegal immigration. I don't really care if they stay or go. However I don't see the point (for those who do) to come illegally to this country then do things like this:

You can't actually control who answers your question - I mean, it's fair to ask for comments from one segment or another, but you can always just ignore those who don't present you with thier melanin credentials.

I'm not going to state my 'race.' I'm an American, that's good enough for me - and, if you resepct the 14th Amendment, it should be good enough for you.

I think it would be helpful if you focused on either legal or illegal immigration. The two are very different things.

Now, I think you make half a good point in that the 'rich' really do have more to gain from both types of immigration, since both can serve to depress wages and thus lower the cost of labor, which is good for companies and businesses - and even the rich socialite who hires servants. Not all the rich are white, and not all the poor are non-white, though, so you can dump that bit.

Racism from the hispanic gangs stems from the prison system in California. There are some latino gangs that have aligned themselves with black gangs like the Black Guerrilla Family and their rivals have sided with the Aryan Vanguard. Racism is becoming a major fuel for divide and conquer strategies. Black gangs are also known to use racial epithets. That article is one-sided.

Though I'm not black, I find flaws in what you are saying. The civil right movement was fighting for the rights of minorities who were legal US citizens. (Note I said LEGAL US citizens) This isn't about white people keeping people of color down, this is about Americans being against illegal immigration. (Note I said ILLEGAL Immigration) We don't have a problem with immigrants coming here as long as they come here legally. (Note again I said LEGALLY) There is no comparison to the Civil Rights movement. Coming from a black person, I thought for sure you would know your history better. I guess it's time for you to hit the books again isn't it?

Sorry...I'm white...but I totally agree with you. Poverty knows no color. Personally speaking...I don't know why anyone who fought so hard and went through so much would give it to people who never fought or did anything for anything....except be brown and ride on your coat-tail.

I am a poor white person. I went to school when blacks weren't allowed to. Now that you...as a black person....finally fought and got to where you are....why would you give up a job to a person who hasn't made it through gradeschool just because they are illegal and brown? How many black people picked Spanish as their choice of another language to learn? Or did you give a foreign language up for car repair or hair dressing school? YOU FOUGHT FOR YEARS....now that some are finally getting to earn a decent living.....you...what?...back off and give it to illegals who just came over the border? I don't GET that.

You need to get over your "poor self pity" and begin to smell the cofffee! In this country (and I assume you are from the US), ANYONE can get ahead in life by working hard. Yes, there are hurdles and struggles, but anyone and everyone faces different problems. I am proof of this!

As far as the immigration bill, if you are not legal, you should not be here. Amnesty is the worst thing that can be done.
