They got it all backwards. Your friend doesn't understand karma.

Karma is when you do something good for mankind, something good will come back to you someday. If you do something disrespectful or bad, a bad thing will visit you for your trouble to others.

Theorhetically, if you donated your eyes at death, karma would have one of two things happen as far as I can figure. If you are reborn, your vision would be increased l000 times. If you die and go to heaven (Christian concept) you would have the vision to understand and accept and give all love and kindness in the next life. It would be due to you because of your good act.

Check out karma on the link below. It's interesting, and I base my life philosophy on karma. I try to be good, and I know when I get paid back for ill gestures to others.

No. Karma is a matter of positive and negative energy. You do something mean, it will come back to you. You do something nice, it will come back to you. The more positive energy you put into the world, the more you will get in return (in this life and all subsequent lives).

Donating your eyes would actually be a positive thing and gain you some good karma.

This is not how I understand Karma... Karma is not so much as a "who did it?" than a "you did it." Karma is not something that you would need to worry about in your "next life." In other words, what ever actions you take in this life will have consequences in this life. Karma comes back to you in this life, why worry about the next life when you are still living in this one?

I don't think so. Karma means if you do good, then good will come back to you, so if you donate your eyes upon death, I would think that the favor would be returned to you (if you believe in reincarnation, or whatever...)

If anything you get good karma for restoring the sight to another.

You would not come back blind.

Karma- What goes around comes around

Example- If you know someone is going to sit in a seat at the movie theatre, and you take it knowing that, something similar to that will happen right back at you.

Please do not offend my religion with some nonsense description. Thank you.

No, karma would dictate that if you donated your eyes upon your death, then you would not only have excellent sight when you came back, but you would also have wisdom (insight).

NOT true. You are born into a different body all together whether it is human or animal or insect or tree. So whoever told you that needs to get a better dharma teacher. (Buddhist)

Also, karma is an interesting subject as it's not as simple as 'what goes around comes around' or whatever.......if you sew negativity nothing else can come of it but negativity and if you sew good nothing else can come of it but good. It's actually a very logical idea.
