well, you ARE wearing a hair net, so i'm sure it will be okay.

trivia:
"Deviled--a culinary term which...first appeared as a noun in the 18th century, and then in the early 19th century as a verb meaning to cook something with fiery hot spices or condiments...The term was presumably adopted because of the connection between the devil and the excessive heat in Hell...Boswell, Dr Johnson's biographer, frequently refers to partaking of a dish of "devilled bones" for supper, which suggests an earlier use."
---The Oxford Companion to Food, Alan Davidson [Oxford University Press:Oxford] 1999 (pages 247-248).
[James Boswell lived from 1740-1795, Dr. Johnson's biography was published in 1791]

You shouldn't be. The eggs simply have the word devil in them, but I doubt they're unholy.

I think you have more of a chance to be shunned by your peers because you're an idiot, than for some eggs.

No, just by me. Baked beans with a nice layer of crispy bacon would be better. I don't like eggs.

Oddly, I find deviled eggs to be one of the staples of church functions.

Hmmmm...

Well, they say that heaven's just a sin away, and most church goers are intrigued by sin, so you might find that your eggs are gobbled up faster than a pet mongoose at a Sunday afternoon picnic.

I would just pray over them first..."Lord, bless these eggs in Jesus name" should do it.....

I know someone must have prayed over the deviled chocolate cake, I had for my birthday....it was to die for.....if you type in "to die for chocolate cake" in google,,you will find the recipe...man was it good...
