such as carbon dating when talking about the Dead Sea Scrolls and equally as happy to cross reference the flood story with other religous faiths but when it comes to most other issues, their faith is the ONLY ONE that is correct and evolution is laughed at mainly?

You shouldn't confuse normal Christians (94% of USA's *professing* Christians) and the doltish PSEUDO-Christians of the "Religious" Radical Right (the other 6% -- the RRR Cult.) (Fortunately for the rest of the world, the RRR Cult is almost nonexistent *outside* of the USA's borders.)
Normal Christians tend to be open-minded. And even though most of us believe our religion to be the true one, very FEW of us get in the faces of those who choose to believe otherwise. We have a live-and-let-live attitude, in that regard. Heck, only a mere 1% of normal Christians proselytize in ANY manner.
Also -- the vast majority of normal Christians have no problem accepting the evolutionary process as being just another of God's creations, along with the rest of the universe. It's easy to accept that, since we regard God to be intelligent, omniscient, and omnipotent.

I don't care about your typos, what I care about is you soul. It is immaterial how old something is, what matters is do you have an ounce of faith that God could be real. Even if you are a believer in evolution there had to be an intelligent creator to create whatever it is you think started life. You live in an intelligently created world, it is no accident that things are as complex as they are. Evolution says survival of the fittest, if you were under the rules of evolution you would kill everything that was a threat to your own existence.
When did you ever see a species of one kind copulate with that of another species and produce a new species? That doesn't happen, monkeys have always reproduced monkeys, and all other animals the samething. Humans have always reproduced humans.
As for the BIG BANG, when did you ever see something that blew up ever reproduce or reconstruct itself into anything except decay or still blown up matter? If the solar system was created with a big bang and there happened to be anything that was alive at that time it would be blown up or dead.
All of the people that died in the World Trade Centers are DEAD, they will not ever recreate or transform into anything except decaying, rotting flesh.
There is a soul in everyone and that is what you need to deal with. God will have his day with you and if you haven't reconciled your soul with Jesus, then you are in big trouble.

Because many people, regardless of religion or lack of, don't like to have facts stand in the way of their beliefs.
I've seen atheists and agnostics on here do EXACTLY the same thing.
People just don't like to have evidence that proves them wrong.
I guess it's lucky that my beliefs are adaptable according to whatever the evidence suggests.

Not this Christian. I have always accepted the theory of evolution. I also feel that we all worship the same thing but give it different names and attributes.
