Jesus says...." No man comes to the Father but thru me"

Heaven and hell is a religious thing. How can you say that going there should be determined by anything else. If your reading a Bible and you learn about heaven and hell, but you don't want to do what the rest of the book says, doesn't that seem a little odd. Its like buying a software program wanting to get the most out of it, but not wanting to use it like the intructions say. I didn't create heaven or hell, and I didn't make the rules. It also isn't my point to say who is and who isn't going. I know what I beleive in my faith to be the only ways to get to one or the other, but it is everyones choice on how they want to do it, just like it was mine.
You have to figure out what you beleive, and then decide to live by those rules or not. Sometimes the truth is hard and it seems like it isn't fun or fair, but it is worth is. I have faith in God and even though sometimes it is hard to understand everything, and even though there are things I will never understand, I know I have the truth.

It isn't determined just by religion.
All religion is, is man's outward expressions of spirituality. What is important is what's in your heart and soul, and how you put that into practice with your God and your fellow man.
Having said that, yes, as Jesus Himself said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
I know that in this contrarian, universalist, syncretistic, New Agey, secular world we live in today this is not a popular or "hip" message, but there it is, like it or not.
Let the "thumbs down" begin LOL

I don't believe in Heaven and Hell but IF they did exist, I would have a tendency to believe your fate depended on if you were a good person and the deeds you did during your lifetimes as opposed to what church or religion you did or did not belong to.

I think so, its hard to not sin, but God understands that and is willing to forgive us even on our death beds as long as we seek forgiveness from our hearts not selfishness. It is fair its the same thing in life situations for instance is it fair that someone can't go to Princeton because their GPA is 1.9 they may have good intentions but there are requirements in life that we must fulfill in order to achieve our goals. Same with religion Heaven is a religious place.

well if you religion is different you odnt even believe in the same fate. that is some what of a complex subject though. its similiar to the "if a tree falls in a forest, and no one around to hear it, does it make a sound'. because if you dont believe in heaven or hell, you're not going to think you're going there. you get what i mean?

Yes. I believe regardless of how good we think we are, we are still sinners and deserve punishment. However, we were given a gift. And faith is how we accept it. We can no more look at a sinner and say they deserve hell, than look at a Saint and say the deserve heaven. It is not my place.

I don't determine anyones fate, nor does God. Everyone has the right to accept Jesus Christ or deny Him. So if they choose to deny Him, then they in essence choose for themselves Hell. Not me nor God.

God doesn't care what we claim our belief systems to be. God's laws are universal and apply equally to all.
Making choices and acting out of love brings you closer to God.
Making choices and acting out of fear removes you further from God.
The only column on God's scorecard is love. This is true regardless of your chosen beliefs or religion.
