As an event photographer I have shot all types of couples. I will tell you that most couples are usually within 4 years of each other. NO ONE under the age of 24 or 25 should get married... I will warn you of this. On this note as far as dating goes, look at the question the other way around. Why do women date older guys? Father figure replacement? Looking for a stable guy vs. one who works at a burger joint. Would you rather date the owner or the fry cook? Guys want younger women in general because they can get it. Why not? Women do truely mature faster than guys so really the age thing can me summed up with that. My wife is 12 years my junior. She pushes me and keeps me on my toes. But the age issues is usually others issues, not ours. So why worry about it.

That's so simple!!! Younger women have sexier bodies! Most women begin to droop at chest level at around 23 or 24, which turns men off. Men prefer and chase women who look fertile/fresh, hence younger women. Older women also tend to act more inhibited and can be less submissive. Men enjoy sex with women who can stimulate that male urge to conquer and impregnate. The older a women gets, the less fertile she becomes. The 18 to 21 crowd of women is always around and will always turn a man on more than some 30 year old used up woman!

I think it is the other way around. Why do younger women seek older men. I don't think men say, I think today I am going to seek out a younger woman. That is unless you are Hugh Heffner.

Younger women seek out older men, because most men their own age are very immature. So they just naturally line up like that. I know for me, I don't do that. My wife is almost three years older than myself. I give her a hard time about robbing the cradle. Just a joke. One time when my son was very young I taught him that mommies age was "Older than dirt" It was a classic, because he said it in a crowd when she asked him. LOL

I'm sure looks have something to do with it, but I also think it's because a young woman isn't a challenge. Usually older women have more depth, sophistication, and different expectations from a partner - just due to life experience and the wisdom that one acquires from getting older. It's commonly thought that young women want a drink in their hand and a sparkly ring on their finger... after that they'll pretty much concede to whatever the older man wants; a pretty girl on his arm who admires him and doesn't question or challenge what he says/thinks/does.
