I can speak only for myself. I am an atheist. I find it interesting that many persons are so afraid or uncertain of the unknown that they will go to any length to bolster their courage. In order to be a top contributor, one must participate in many discussions pertaining to a particular subject. Since by contributing, I can discover things about the uncertainty I mentioned, I must by necessity contribute often if I am to satisfy my curiosity. If ever there was a place to satisfy my curiosity of people's fear of the unknown, this forum is it. I personally cannot accept christianity or any other religion as being good for anything insofar as my personal life goes.

Interesting observation...

There could be a number of reasons:

- We have no life.
- We're smart :-)
- A combination of the 2 options above: We're nerds.
- We put more thought into our answers instead of trying to convert others to our way of thinking or copy and paste Biblical quotes.

I really have no idea! I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I guess because, as in many other internet venues, we are disproportionately represented. Also, we tend to do our own thinking and writing, rather than c/p'ing.

We should do a study. And what happened to my top contributor thingy? Do they go away after a while?

Why does it matter if they have a 'top contributor' designation on Y presently?

More to say. More best answers. Proper, non-violation contributions. Our worth quickly becomes apparent.

Just noticed my TC badge has gone away ;o(

Nice question though.
