Do a little research in this field. Men have a tendency to pass away at an earlier age than woman. It's been my experience that loosing a wife to a man is the hardest thing to ever adapt to. Where as women seem to except the fact a little easier. Now we are talking about the advanced age man here. If we are talking about a much younger man, then there are several different reasons. Maybe it makes him feel younger? Maybe he is not as mature as expected at that age? Maybe he just wants the arm candy to show off with? Or maybe...Just maybe he really loves her and feels that age is just a number? Just my opinion as my wife is only younger by 3 years.

In a lot of studies they find that men 1-2 years older then women have about the same maturity level so they balance each other out. In some cases this isn't exact though because my husband to be is almost a year younger then me and it really does not show.

My fiancee is 14 years older then me and it has never been a question of him dating me due to me being younger. We happen to be right for each other and women tend to be more mature at a younger age then guys, it make it hard to date men our own age.

The physiological answer is because men are subconsciously looking for women who are of appropriate age to bear children. There are a few key things that men find attractive in a woman, and they all lead back to being able to successfully propagate the species.
Curvy hips = easy delivery
Long legs = fully grown and therefore fertile
Big breasts = capable of feeding children (plus they look like a tush, which is what men would have been looking at when creating babies...we all used to do it "doggie style", like other animals).
It's all based on our primordial need to continue breeding.

I think the questions should be "why do women tend to date older men?" and for me it was the fact he was more on the same maturity level than guys my age.

because they tend to look better. and younger women tend to not want to argue with you as much. Younger woman tend to not have too many opinions about everything.

well it depends in the age difference if its not a lot for ex. his a year older well its almost like you dating some one your age but its like a lot then its either b/c he has money or his attracted to younger women

Men like the perky boobs and when the girl is younger that they are it makes them feel like they are 19 again.

My husband is 16 years older than I am. Mentally, we're on the same level.
