Just wondering. After you answer that, would you tell me what age difference you think is appropriate
a) in general
b) for a 12 year old girl
c) for a 16 year old guy
d) for a 20 year old guy/girl
e) for a 30 year old guy/girl

For b-e, it can be an age difference younger or older than the example.

The biggest I've had was 6 years, I think. The "relationship" only lasted for 3 days though. Long story.

Biggest for me has been 12 years.

In general I think the older you get, the less age matters.
At 12, you really shouldn't date much older than 13 in my opinion.
At 16, maybe 2 years is ok.
At 20, I'd say closer to 10
and at 30, 15 years is still ok.
All a matter of opinion and maturity though.

My current husband is 15 years younger, and it isnt a problem we are both adults, and Christians and we are so much on the same page about everything.
When you are adults , it doesnt have to matter, but it does to some. But, a 15 year old and a thirty year old. no? One is not an adult yet, nor mature. They would hae nothing in common. so depends on the guy and the girl and the situation. I tend to have younger friends too even tho I am into holiness, as I love to enjoy life and have fun, and seem to identify with younger ppl, say in the ages of 25 to 35 , and I am 61, just because they arent old and grumpy like so many older ppl and we have more in common, but I only hang out with Christians. Makes a big difference.
If you had a relationship at six, hope it was a love realtionship with your mommy and daddy, cant imagine more than that at age 6, unless incredible friendship. That can come at any age, but no love relationships. Be curious to see what answers you get..

In my experience the older the guy doesn't mean he is more mature. I dated a guy 20 years older and he is the biggest kid ever. He had no since of responsibility. Now I am dating a guy who is 3 years younger than I am. He is more grown up than the last guy. So to generally answer your Qs as long as the couple is mature enough to respect each other and both are on consenting age I think any age difference is okay.

I am 34 and dating a man who is 49 years old. I think age is relative but with each gap will have some issues. Being in different stages of your life makes the relationship a little complicated. The younger you both are the easier it will be. .

I think it workd for girls to date older boys ad work within a 5 year age gap.

The biggest difference for me was 9 yrs....with 10 yrs having been the largest max I've had (for dating). Biggest difference re: someone I just "played" with was 10 or 11 yrs I think.

Re: your question
a) in general - for me 10 yrs has been my max range
b) for a 12 year old girl - too young to date
c) for a 16 year old guy - no younger, 2 yrs older
d) for a 20 year old guy/girl - 2 yrs younger, 6 yrs older
e) for a 30 year old guy/girl - 5 yrs younger or older

Those are just general ideas...not set in stone but I don't think non-minors should date minors so that one's firm.

My husband is twenty years older than I am. We're happy!

a) in general age does not matter.
b) 12 year olds shouldn't date.
c) 16 year old guys should date 16 year old girls...or no more than two years older. People under 16 should not date.
d) 20 year old people can date whomever they want...any age. I'd be cautious and make sure they have the same goals though. A lot of older people have different ideas on having children, etc.
e) Any age is fine.

Once again....16 is the youngest age I feel someone should date. And if you're over 18, you shouldn't date someone younger than 18.

a) 12 yr girls shouldnt be dating
b)a 16 yr old guy could go two yrs either way for example he could date a 14 yr girl at the youngest or a 18 yr girl at the oldest
c)a 20yr should be dating a girl younger than 18 bc thats pedophilic and illegal. he could go older but i really hate it when guys date chicks old enough to be their moms
d)a 30 yr can date who he pleases so long as she's of legal age although i hate old guys who hit on really young girls like in their late teens, early 20's or guys who are 30 and date old wolf puzzy women in their 40's and 50's.

My uncle was married to a woman fifteen years younger than him for about a year but they just got divorced. I don't think that their marriage problems were related to the age difference, they are just very different people. I think that it doesn't matter how far apart your ages are, as long as you love one another, unless you are under 18 going out with someone way older than you...that's a different story.
