Come on, guys. No one is perfect, and none of you can prove that you're 100% right. Atheists, Christians, Muslims, ANYONE, how can you justify you're right to tell other people they're an idiot? Why don't people just talk to one another instead of arguing? Does it make you feel better about yourselves to take 10 seconds to condemn instead of 10 minutes to explain?

And please.. taking 10 seconds to say "God said so and you're going to hell!" doesn't count.

it's just a natural 'human' cycle.....the same reason WHY siblings fight

"No one is perfect"

exactly, that's the primary reason why imperfect people (including me) are fighting with other imperfect people.

Certainly, some people think that their religion , belief is the correct one and the others are not true...They like to consider themselves superior from this point of view and because of this, they feel they have the right to judge other beliefs. This is the reason why many wars started in the past and even now, some people die in different parts of the world. In my opinion, there should be one religion in the world, perhaps a mixture of some beliefs from different religions. There is only one God, perceived in different ways in every religion. There is no religion which is more close to the truth than the others. So we shouldn't argue about this question so much. We must respect each other and in this way, we can avoid many conflicts caused by religious matters, making our world a better place. Personally, I don't believe in God, because of personal reasons and because there are some contradictory aspects in the Bible, religious beliefs; but I respect others opinion and I don't necessarily think that my point of view is right, because my attitude towards this matter can change in the future.......and perhaps I'll become a religious person.

Respecting a person and respecting their beliefs are NOT the same thing.

You don't show respect for a child by agreeing with his belief that 1+1=3. You show respect by trying to teach him that 1+1=2.

You don't show respect for an adult by agreeing with him that someone stole his sunglasses. You show respect for him by pointing out that he is currently wearing them on his forehead.

Allowing people to continually make a fool of themselves is not a sign of respect.

This question gets asked again and again on this forum.

The short answer is, humans have egos....and this need to be "right". Either that, or they are so insecure in themselves (although they will never admit it) that the only way to feel good about what they are doing is to put others down.

Because they wish to enforce their beliefs on another. They are not comfortable with their own belief and want to make themselves look smarter to their antagonist. Usually they are full of anger and hatred. I haven't seen many angry Christians full of hatred but I've seen quite a few angry Atheists who are extremely full of hatred.

I try very hard not to be that way, because I KNOW that no one's 100% right (or at least, I'm pretty sure of it LOL!) and that includes me.

When people are insecure in their beliefs they cannot tolerate that others believe something different. Also, some people just enjoy being insulting.sneering and belittling other people .

We can definitely prove who is wrong.

In doing so, the people who are wrong do get insulted. But that's no one's fault but their own.

They want to look superior and what they get is the opposite, and they know it.
