so im going on my first date in a week. the guy im going on the date with is kinda shy. hes been trying to ask me out for weeks and never had the guts to. finally he asked me out. of course i said yes. well...i was just wondering...should i make the first move or should i let him? and if i do make the first move what should it be? thank you so much! i really need some help...

Before you make the first move, make sure you know CPR. You may scare the poor, shy guy to death.
Really you shouldn't rush him. He finally got around to asking you out, let him set the pace for a while. Of course, you can make it easier for him by anticipating what he is trying to do.
Just enjoy being with someone who is willing to make the extra effort to do something that is hard for him. He must really think that you are worth it.

Ok what I would do is stay calm since you said he was shy he probaly wont make a move on you but remember he already did enough by being brave to ask you out... you can help him feel comfortable so that both of yall would have a great time.. if you think is going great you should try to take his hand and tell him you had a wonderful time.. and dont forget the hug.. Decide at the end of the date.
That way, you can size him up more, and make a better decision weather or not you would want to make the first move.
IF you are still into him after the date, then YES, make the first move!

Don't worry yourself with a first move. People are always in such a rush. Relax, have fun with him. Dont sit through the whole date thinking about who's gonna make the move, just let it happen when it's time.
RELAX he is probably stressing too.

Samantha K. Hey little darlin I am a very shy man, yeah it would be a good thing if you were to hold his hand and maybe put his arm around you ! In a private place maybe gently steal a kiss. but be careful he may get exited !

if he is shy....there is a good chance that you are going to have to make the first move. if you are on the date with him and you feel a chemistry between you two.....then you can go ahead and kiss him.
