Just because beings are alike, no matter the similarities are, it doesn't *necessarily* mean that they are exactly the same. That's one of the excuses used to try to make believe that Jesus and God are the same, but they are not.

That is why He was teaching in riddles, to avoid being accused of treachery, and of heresy. As for the ones He swore the oaths to, you will have to research that for yourselves...
