I'm sure many innocent newcomers have been put off by being told they're dumb, irrational, or going to Hell. This isn't just true of Yahoo! Answers, either. People seeking knowledge are declared inferior because they do not yet have it. Weren't we all ignorant at one point? Aren't we still?
Edit:
Effettall: I'm not sure if you support those statements, but it is certain that many do. That mentality of good vs. evil, black vs. white, right vs. wrong, us vs. them, me vs. you... all it does is create fear, intolerance, suffering, and destruction. I almost wish I were naive enough to believe that people could get beyond these concepts.

They should start giving us armament to use on each other once we reach level 3 or 4. Establish neutral zones, and 'gang' territory. It could be a lot of fun.

It's pathetic, actually.
Reporting abuse should be saved for the rare occasion where someone really crosses the line (racial epithets, etc..) other than that, block them if they bother you that much.. or ignore their q&a's.

The only time I report someone is when they're blatantly racist. Other than that, I leave them be.I like different opinions-they make life interesting.
Someone must be really insecure in their own beliefs if they wish to 'take out' those who disagree with them.

Seeing as it seems that only Christians and Atheists are getting killed...
How about the theory that it might be the Muslims pitting each side against each other and taking them both out?

Yes..sad isn't it that we can't just get along. We are not just hurting one another.
It's more like small children on a playground though don't you think? Beating up on each other..
