Depending on the type of Anemia you have, iron deficiencies are usually corrected by supplemental iron. You need to see a doctor to first find out what type of anemia you have. Anemia does not turn into Leukemia. These are two different things. If a doctor has told you this, I suggest you seek a second opinion. Leukemia is a cancer affecting WHITE BLOOD CELLS. Anemia affects RED BLOOD CELLS. The two are not interchangeable. I am assuming you mean Leukemia, since there is no such thing as lucemia? It's just a typo, I am sure! Well, good luck with your quest.

There are many forms and causes of anemia. Anemia can cause paleness, weakness, fatigue, irritability, and drowsiness. Concentration and learning may be impaired if the condition is severe. Most common cause of anemia is iron deficiency. It can be a serious medical condition, but commonly is not. Since you say you were diagnosed with anemia, I have to assume that you are already under a doctor's care. I would suggest you simply follow your doctor's instructions.

The two disorders aren't related. Anemia is low hemoglobin, often caused by iron deficiency. You eat iron-rich foods and/or take iron tablets, whatever your doctor recommends, and you usually get ok. Leukemia is when your bone marrow goes crazy making too many white blood cells...it's like a cancer and you have to have much more serious treatment. I wish you well!

Take an Iron supplement. If you eat meat, red meat has a ton of iron. Drink orange juice when you take the supplement. It will help absorb the Iron better.
I'm not a nurse, but I was anemic with both of my pregnancies and that's what the told me to do. I'm not sure if it's the calcium or vitamin c in the juice that helps, but that is what I was advised to do.
Hope this helps!!

you can start taking some vitamins and definatly some iron supplements. Just becarful with the iron.....if you take too much you will die. Iron is one thing that will kill you and they can't pump it out of your stomach or save you at the hospital.

My mother had that. Check for liver problems and hepatitis C, it was what was causing my mother's anemia.
Luckily she was put on a treatment that made her feel very ill for a few months, but now I have my mom back ^_^
