I'm sorry - I just think that is a horrible idea unless you can provide me with some details to change my mind.

Sounds really lame to me.
High School dances, Sweet Sixteen parties and things like that have themes. Since when did weddings start having themes? I always thought that the theme of a wedding is Love.

Wow..that's a really bad idea for a wedding. I mean...most of the people answering you on here don't get it..what would your guests say? What does a toy soldier have to do with a wedding? More suited for a child's birthday party.

So far, I'm thinking it sounds like a bad idea. Besides the fact that it gives the message that your marriage is starting off with a war, I think you might end up with a bunch of guys throwing "bombs" at each other.
Besides having toy soldiers as decoration at the tables, how else would you display this theme? It would be difficult to incorporate this into bouquets, bridesmaids dresses, etc.

I think toy soldiers would be cute for a child's Christmas party at school but never for a wedding. That's just my opinion. It's your wedding and it should be exactly how you want it to be.

First of all, themes are for parties. NOT WEDDINGS! Especially something as juvenille as "toy soldiers". I'd suggest going to your local bookstore and getting some magazines/books about decorating and ettiquette for weddings.

If you go with small touches, like toy soldiers as part (but not all) of the centerpieces on the tables and maybe small pictures on some of the items at the reception (such as name cards) then it could be really cute. You just need to be careful to not overdo it and let it look childish. Keep to elegant touches. The most important thing is that you like it and can think back on your special day with fond memories for years to come.

For a wedding...if that is what you want then that is OK but I would never have that theme for my wedding.

Are you a military couple? You couldn't go halfway with a theme like that. All or none... Could be alot of fun memories though!
