Can anyone please describe to me photoshop?
What all can I do with it?
I like to edit my pictures.
Would it be a good idea to download it?

Photoshop is a wonderful program, but it's a professional program, meaning that it does a LOT but it takes a while to learn all it can do. It's also very expensive.
There is a simpler version of Photoshop called Photoshop Elements. It does all the things you probably really need to do, and it's much cheaper, or you might get it free with a digital camera.
Also there's a great freeware program called GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) that you can download and use for nothing. It is also very powerful. Maybe not as powerful as Photoshop, but what do you want, it's FREE!
If you started out with GIMP or Photoshop Elements, you would learn things like cropping, adjusting contrast and brightness, erasing red-eye, the basic stuff like that. You might decide you don't need to go farther. But then if you wanted to move up to Photoshop, you would be able to transfer your knowledge and experience to the new program.

Photoshop is the industry standard Graphics manipulator and Painting program. There isn't anything that it can't do to a photo. But as for downloading it, only on a trial basis. Photoshop is a rather expensive program, usually running in at about 6 to 7 hundred bucks.
If you want a very good graphics editor, that is free, then gimp is for you. http://www.gimp.com Gimp is open source, and therefor free.

Photoshop is a very advanced program to use. It all depends on what you want to do. For simple editing, use Kodak easy share or something similiar. Try www.download.com for all legal downloads. If you are going to use photoshop I suggest using the web to gind tutorials, or perhaps take a class at your local community college.

I live my life on PhotoShop - I am a bit sad though. It depends what editing you wish to do. Try searching PhotoShop Tutorials on Google to see what kinds of editing you like.

Photoshop is a terrific photo editing and graphic design program. I highly recommend it, but aim for a newer version. :D

photoshop can edit your photos but it is very complex to use
i recommend using "paint shop pro" instead
