They host an average of two ceremonies a month, usually held on a Friday at 3pm and 4.30pm. They are hosted by the Lord Mayor of Sydney, The Deputy Lord Mayor or the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Sydney.

Ceremonies are held in the Sydney Town Hall, the entrance is at 483 George Street, Sydney opposite Woolworths – next to the Queen Victoria Building. The closest train station is Town Hall.
