So we all know what happen today. You might have been for it or not but we all have to understand our status quo, and it should not countinue this way. I think they should have passed it, but that's just me.
But do you believe that the government might/might not enforce the laws we have now? I'm not pretty sure about that.
But what we have to do now is give this IMMIGRATION ISSUE a little rest. For all the Pros and Cons of this Reform bill, would you all be able to tone down the hate, i don't care who it comes from (mostly anti-illegals). And with that said, it's over for now, but will probably come back in 2009. Is the IMMIGRATION ISSUE worth talking about, anymore?
WHAT DO YOU THINK? (remember, think before you type).

I agree with everything you have said. And I will vote for either Hillary or Barak (democrats).
Hope there is no hate, well, hope there is little of it. Now I can take a little vacation from YA, maybe.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with LEGAL Immigration and the immigrants that go through the proper channels to gain access to the United States. However, it is the system that is broken that allows and condones ILLEGAL immigration by not enforcing the laws already in place. It is not right to just allow illegal immigrants to have access to jobs and services (housing, schooling, health care) all the while taking part in tax evasion while those who chose to enter legally stand in line and are also penalized if a bill goes through that allows amnesty to the approximately 12 million illegals. It's the system not the immigrant.

The issue isn't going away. the immediate need is to scour the 'follow up' smaller bills like the Dream Act and AgJobs for the type of tripe that was peppered through this one.
However, beyond that, the issue exists and needs to be resolved. Since the Senate bill would have made the issue much WORSE, however, allow us a period of pleasure that at least that bullet seems to have been dodged.
==
by the way, your attempt to appear evenhanded would have gone better without the 'mostly anti-illegals' bit, so you know.

It isn't over until our laws are being enforced. Even then we can't afford to forget what they tried to do since they will probably try again. Amnesty is about getting the North American Union set up and functioning. I am not racist or hateful, but I believe in national sovereignty and legal immigration, not forced integration into a union that is part of the NWO.
Of course you haven't heard anything on the news about the NAU. They don't want the citizens to panic and revolt. But check out some of these links:

I agree we need to just calm down a bit and let this issue rest. There is way too much animosity when it involves illegal immigration. It's almost as bad as discussing religion or abortion. A fight always occurrs because they are such strong topics and people are so passionate about those issues. It's become apparent that we can't discuss this issue like mature adults and without getting emotional so nothing is going to be resolved anyway.

The only hate that I see is coming from you about your comment about the pro Americans side.
And to answer your question, YES, it IS worth talking about because the open borders that this bill would have, if passed (I don't care about what they SAID they would do because it ultimately would come down to what BUSH wants) it would have very easily brought about the North American Union between Mexico, the USA and Canada. Something that MANY CITIZENS OF ALL THREE COUNTRIES DON'T WANT!

No, the current immigration laws will not be enforced because America would loose too much .......
So now we have no immigration reform and no enforcement of the laws ..... things will remain the same for the next 2 years ...... maybe by 2009 there will be 15 million illegals here.
I hope it comes back in 2009 ......I'm definitely voting for whoever supports an immigration reform.

It is not over now. The laws need to be enforced. We need to keep telling our senators and representatives how we feel. Obama, presidential candidate is pro-illegal. He voted to give SS benefits to illegals when in Illinois. He co-sponsored an amendment on this bill that allowed employers not to have to prove legal status for their present day employees with no penalties. They would only check new applicants. He is not one I want to be president and he wont get my vote.

I am anti.
I think that the current laws will NOT be enforced any more now than they were in the past.
It is time for antis to use the momentum that was created in stopping the bill to scare politicians into doing something. The only time they are afraid of us is just before an election and they heard us loud and clear today. We CANNOT stop talking about it now, we must keep it in the front of their minds that we are going to elect antis next election. Join us or go on unemployment.
