As long as you didn't push them into a furnace or in the path of a train or anything else you're keeping quiet about, it's unlikely that you will be given anything worse than a small fine or perhaps a compensation order. You may even be given a conditional discharge. Without further information, it's pure guess work.

You mean you pushed someone? Not much, a fine at worst but I would have thought a caution for that. Very unlikely to get community service, no chance prison!

For a first offence, if it goes to court, you'll be bound over to keep the peace (a sort of suspended fine if you break the law again within 12 months).

how old are you?
do you have previous? (any thing)
how are you pleading?
were you under the influence?(drink,drugs...)
so many factors are involved in this.
my advice,
go guilty at magistrates(if it goes to crown your buggered!)say sorry,ask you solicitor to agree to a bind over for 2 years,pay any damages (+ court costs)
sorted...otherwise go not guilty,go to crown,get trail,they find you guilty,then the judge gets shitty!! because you have in theory wasted the courts time!
