GM is the best ... of the past decade GM has surpassed all others in Quality ... (Toyota has not won a segment winner in JD Power Initial Quality since 1999)
Toyota has exceeded the Big 3 combined in number of recalls.

the Impala is approx $4k less than the camry with better fuel economy, and has more bells / whistles ... better bang for the buck....

GM beets Toyota in overall product lineup fuel economy (even with toyota's hybrid included)

GM supplies approx 10% to the US economy....while approx 50% of the cost of a Toyota / Honda / etc permanently leaves the NA economy, taking with it good jobs....

GM. I think their cars are better quality than Toyota. They just have to pay more for labor and health care, and have to add that into the price of their cars.

I'll have to agree with you except for one horrifying point. Replacement parts for all cars you have listed are simply outrageous. Price a new starter, alternator, transmission or any other necessary parts and you get my point. Once the warranty is burned up you're on your own.

It depends how you define 'best.' If you mean fast, look great, expensive to run and break easy, then go to Italy. If you mean fast, look good, expensive to run and don't break much, then go to Germany. If you mean medium speed, very expensive to run, kill any child that they hit, built as cheeply as possible and you can tell, then go to the US. If you mean average speed, cheap to run, good reliability and well priced then Japan is the place to go. If you define good as serving no other function than that of getting one or two people from point A to point B, as expensively as possibly, then a sports car company is what you want. If you define good as cars that just go on and on and on and on ............. Toyota. It depends entirely upon what you're looking for. Can you believe it! I forgot Sweden. (Tanks)
