I think Samsungs are the best all around tv's for the price. I think all around you get the best picture. I hooked up tv's for 3 years and I have always recommended Samsungs and thats what I have in my house.

dude from someone who knows about these tvs. i love both manufactures really it is a toss up. but i would choose the samsung. mainly because the samsung has a higher contrast ratio. way higher. as with all samsung lcds. this will give you a better more uniform color picture. and for games it will look great. so i would pick the samsung even if its a liitle more money it will be worth it. good luck

just over a year ago i bought on the advice of a freind of mine an LG plasma set-other freinds laughed at me-they bought the so-called "top makes" (told me mine was rubbish and i had wasted my cash)-well one has had to send his back twice-another freinds would not come on at all after two months (these were £2000+ sets by the way) meanwhile yours truly still has his original set-still as good as the day it came out of the box. i know i made the right choice. stunning picture in high def!!.

The Aquos is higher rated but you might want to see consumer reports on this. I prefer to look at both tv models side by side when chosing a new tv.
