I drop mine into boiling water and let them sit about 3 minutes. I prefer doing them in a fry pan with just a little oil. More like grilling them. I turn them as they brown and cover in between turning to heat through.

I put hot water in the pot, add the hot dogs, bring it to a boil on high, let it boil 1-3 minutes, then turn it off and let them simmer for 6 minutes, they plump up really nice.

Got a microwave? ... put hot dog in bun, wrap in paper towel, 1 minute and it's just like the ball park.

I agree the frying pan method is better than boiling.

Check the package for cooking instructions for best results.

I fry mine in bacon grease, sounds gross, but its very good-that's how Dairy Queen makes theirs
