got a feeling that china are the next superpower and i cant see the usa standing back and letting that happen , although it could quite easily be a islam/muslim backlash that triggers a religious war too.

what you reckon ?

I think the next war WWIII, will be somewhat like WWII. A semi-superpower, Germany (China), invades Austria and Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia, (Taiwan) because they claim the region speaks the same language as them, and therefore should be part of their country. Think about it, Germany lost, but it was because of Hitler's lust for power, with lack of troops and supplies. China has enough troops and supplies to invade all of Eurasia, so it may succeed. Oh yeah, its based on power, until alliances involving Iran and Israel are formed, then it will be sort of based on religion.

It will be about power of course. Religion is used by the powerful as means to justify themselves and raise the masses. Religion is after all the opium of the masses, eh? It will probably involve the nuclear countries with the other countries in the world either neutral or allied with one of the combatants. I believe the US will most definately be one of the contenders. An Islamic country/alliance will probably also be involved and then you have the rising superpower, China with Russia on the side. The 4th world war will of course be fought with spears and sticks, since WWIII with nuclear weapons will probably spell the end of the world's progress and our "civilisation".
For Willie P. - please read your history of the 2 world wars, then you might realise why Germany reclaimed the land that was theirs and taken from them after WWI, land mostly inhabited by Germans, not just German-speakers.

Well, according to the war schedule... Who could possibly know?

I don't think the US would go to war against China just because they are a rising superpower. We know better. Most Chinese products are not worth the packaging they come in. That's why (I think) they are so interested in having Taiwan as common wealth instead of a sovereign country. Taiwan knows what they're doing. True, China's economy is growing, but I predict it will be like a red giant star. It will grow and grow, but eventually and quickly, it will collapse.

Religion and power go hand in hand. Religion is the biggest source of wars over the last....well....forever, even if indirectly.

And yes, I am religious and this sickens me.

Anyway, I'm thinking Russias gearing up a bit to be honest, it's still kinda tense bewteen them and the Yanks, it wouldn;t take much.

To be honest, looking at it all I think the biggest war we're going to see next is a war on religion. I can see the day when the UN says you know what, lets just ban it all.

You seem to be looking forward with relish to yet another conflict.
I assure you that if such a conflict was raging where you live, you would not be so keen.
I'm afraid it's attitudes like yours that give the United States a bad name and make you enemies you really don't need -
whoever is in the next war, I'm sure the U.S. will be one of the contenders - so sad really, you could and should have been a great nation.

Wars are always about power. religion is used to justify the want of power.
They are fought to get more power or to keep the power a combatant has (defence) ie If you are attacked or going to be attacked are you going to meekly surrender?

Have you read the vision of George Washington when he was president. He had three different visions of three different wars. The first 2 have already taken place the last one not yet. Very interesting....I think it is on its way.....
