i believe there's some type of gelatin in marshmallows... and gelatin does come from pigs that's why muslims don't eat marshmallows

Not that I am aware of. Check out the ingredient lists on the package. They would have to list any oils used in their manufacture. I know there are Kosher marshmallows out there because I've seen them in the super markets. I have to assume that there are also marshmallows that are Halal as well.
