I had mixed emotions because the underlying problem remains.

The "ROOT CAUSE" of the problem remains.

This bill was a desperate attempt to deal with a problem that has so many different and complicated aspects to it.

The 1986 Amnesty Bill has been an utter failure, so why pass another "BAND AID" bill that will be just as unenforceable?

In the meantime, let's get that fence built !!!!

What's the hold up ?!!!!

It took us only 17 months to build the Pentagon !!!

We made it to the moon and back in less than 10 years !!!

This is the first thing we must keep harping on over and over again !!!

WHERE'S THE BEEF? --- WHERE'S THE FENCE? --- WHERE'S THE BEEF? --- WHERE'S THE FENCE? ---

GET THAT TRIPLE FENCE BUILT !!! GET THAT TRIPLE FENCE THAT DUNCAN HUNTER GOT BUILT IN SAN DIEGO AND BUILD THE SAME DESIGN ALL THE WAY ALONG THE BORDER !!!

PUT POLITICAL PRESSURE ON MEXICO TO START TAKING CARE OF IT'S OWN CITIZENS!

FIRST THINGS FIRST !!! ONE THING AT A TIME !!!

WHERE'S THE FENCE? WHERE'S DUNCAN HUNTER'S TRIPLE FENCE THAT WAS ORIGINALLY PROMISED?

TALK IS CHEAP! ---- WHERE'S THE BEEF?

TALK IS CHEAP! ---- WHERE'S THE FENCE?

TALK IS CHEAP! ---- WHERE'S THE BEEF?

WHERE IS ENFORCEMENT OF EMPLOYER SANCTIONS?

TALK IS CHEAP! ---- WHERE'S THE BEEF?

I was up until 5AM writing Senators, and Congress Members giving them the straight up news about what our opponents were and have been up to with the re-claiming the land movement, and had been happening since 1967.

While at work, my employees and I held our breath at first. When the news of the outcome was announced we cheered with joy. What a happy day is it. I have even given them the rest of the day off as well as the next three days off to really celebrate a good fight right down to the finish line.

Yeaaaa Americans for America!! Good job fellow Americans!!

PROUD TO BE AMERICAN!!

So did I. Overwhelming relief followed immediately by the determination to read carefully the 'follow up' bills they will be trying to pass, since Bush is sure to try to slip stuff in, as is big business.

Sergio, the ISSUE hasn't died, but a bill needs to be brought forth fresh each year, so whatever may happen after the elections would have to be a new bill. It is those that might be tried before the elections that we need to look out for now.

At first i was upset and then I just started laughing....because once again america has done nothing. Which means all the illegals will still be here, living in the shadows, more illegals will continue to pour into our country, schools will still over crowded as will hospitals as well.....so by rejecting the reform we've decided that it is better to do nothing and to let all illegals have silent amnesty. Yah, that's oh so much better. They are NEVER going to enforce current laws on the books so basically it was just a lose lose situation now wasn't it?

No amnesty is a good thing, but also no solution to the 11 million illegal immigrants that are already here. We need a tough bill that closes the border and sends the illegals here home.

I just thought it was stupid of the Senators to do that. The bill was not actually crused, its held back till the next Presidential Election in 2008, so dont get too excited.....................to be continued

The only Bill that is needed is one that Secures the borders. After that we can deal with the problem of illegals that are here now.
