The Bible says Jehovah is god..no smoking, gambling, hating, etc.
Especially no sex before marriage or anyone else other than your husband. And not to be gay!! It's all there in the Bible...how do you just ignore all of it and say that you are Christian.
I'm not Christian by the way....I am ----------=:)

Following the bible is inconvenient, so too many self-described "Christians" make little pretense of actually following it. The Scriptures teach that Almighty God requires exclusive devotion; that is, he requires that worship and unrestricted allegiance belong to Him alone.

(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion

(Matthew 4:10) Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”

The Almighty, through the Scriptures, has specifically assigned His worshippers to obey Christ Jesus, since he is King of God's Kingdom and Head of the Christian Congregation.

(1 Corinthians 11:3) But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ

(Ephesians 4:15) Let us by love grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ

A Christian's next god-given priority should be to his or her family's actual needs.

(1 Timothy 5:8) Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith.

Of course, some measure of obedience is owed to secular governments, which the bible calls "the superior authorities". Of course, such subjection is RELATIVE to that owed to God.

(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God

(Acts 5:29) We must obey God as ruler rather than men

Even in secular matters, respect and deference should be shown towards one's parents and older ones in the congregation and community. There is no excuse for haughtiness of any kind.

(Ephesians 6:1-2) Children, be obedient to your parents in union with the Lord, for this is righteous: “Honor your father and your mother”

(1 Peter 5:5) In like manner, you younger men, be in subjection to the older men. But all of you gird yourselves with lowliness of mind toward one another, because God opposes the haughty ones, but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.

Once these obligations are cared for, there is a wide range of activities that a person can pursue according to personal preference and a balanced view. These may include sports teams, business pursuits, or other friendly rivalries.

(Romans 12:3) I tell everyone there among you not to think more of himself than it is necessary to think; but to think so as to have a sound mind, each one as God has distributed to him

Christian say they are Christians but don't follow the Bible because they've never read it. Christians don't need to actually read it because they accept it by faith. The don't think for themselves.

Cite your Bible passages for "no smoking, gambling, hating, etc." ... I don't believe you've ever read the Bible. Explain etc... and why can't you be happy according to the Bible?

I believe most Christians have forgotten the basic teachings of Jesus. Most would not believe that you can meditate and be a Christian. There are so many things that I see that do not understand. When this happens I pray, ask for guidance and I meditate. Man will be man. Evil will be evil. Your journey is just that, Yours. You must find your own way in Christianity. You can be taught, but you have free will. You must make your own decisions. You say you are not Christian, it is still the same. You must find your path.

Name the people you know who say they are Christians and yet hate, cheat on their spouses, smoke, drink, AND gamble.
Have you spoken with them about this.
Perhaps you need to ask THEM.

Nowhere in the Bible does it forbid smoking or gambling or drinking! Jesus drank wine; he changed water into wine, for goodness sake!

Yes, the Bible does say not to commit adultery.
SOME People of every fatih/no faith commit adultery. It's not limited to Christians.

How is it horrible to be faithful to your husband or wife? Why would a married person want to have sex with someone other than his or her spouse?---Just my opinion, and that is neither here nor there.

Liberalism, liberal theologies.
They all of them have this one thing in common- they doubt the Bible's authority.
