Several:
1. Potatoes au Gratin (nothing like what most have had)
2. Pineapple Cake (not to be confused with upside down)
3. Sesame Tofu
4. Cabbage and Onions (an Indian dish)
5. Shepherd's Pie
6. Peanut-Ginger Tofu
7. Eggplant Parmesan
8. Chocolate Pudding Cake
That's enough. I get tons of compliments when I make these and others, plus they're all vegetarian or vegan.

Indian curry with rice. It hasn't always turned out though. Also I made a really good butter pound cake a few times. Lasagna has always been edible.

Lobster/crab chowder for me. My husband has no clue how I make it, but we both love it. It involves saving the shells to make the stock, straining that, then making the soup. He's a good cook, but doesn't know what all I do!

Cheese souffle ... it's easier than it looks, if you follow instructions. And, the main thing is to have proper souffle dish ... absolutely straight sides ...
