A girl whos dating my friend writes in her myspace some facts about herself:
She says " I went to etiquette school for a year, do not like bad behaviour and tolerate some or I would have no friends"
"I was a professional ice skater and won awards"
'I scored a high point on my SATS"
"I was my school validictorian"
"I was voted Ms. Florida"
I mean is she obnoxious or what? Whats funny is that her best friend is dating a guy whos a sleazy alcholic.

*shrugs* Doesn't seem shallow or snobby to me, just seems like she is proud of what she's done.

If those are all true then that is that. As the old adage says," It ain't bragging if you can really do it." She is obviously a high achiever and I suppose she is seeking the same in a mate. No point kissing more frogs than she has to, to find her prince.
BTW-What difference does it make what her girlfriend does?

Well, it certainly doesn't tell much about her personality, which, I thought was the point of having a myspace page. What can you tell about a person based only on their awards?

Why is it wrong for people to be proud of their accomplishments? Good for her for having good etiquette, grades, poise, and talent. If you don't like her that's fine but don't be jealous/annoyed because she's proud of herself. More young people need to take pride in themselves instead of being put down by others.

Well....she's just stating facts about herself (if they're true, I don't know) but I guess it does show she may be a bit up herself because there's no need to write down all of that. However, I don't know her personally, and it seems you don't so we shouldn't judge.

Sounds like she's more accomplished than you and you're jealous. Granted, she's a bit pretentious but you're obviously bothered enough by it to think that the person her friend is dating somehow comments on her as a person. Get over it.
