Im going to the airport soon to go pick up my Mom. I have four gauges. All size 16. So I was wondering that if I have to go through a detector, if they will set it off?

hmm. that's changed. family used to always come to the gate to meet me when i came off a flight.

Since you don't have a ticket for a flight, you are not allowed to go past the front doors to pick up your mother. She has to come to you. Therefore you do not have to worry about any metal detectors. Only ticketed passengers are allowed to go through the security checkpoints. Best of luck!

if you are talking about an airport in the USA, you wont go through any detectors, because you cannot go to the gate where they arrive.
