The devil is a Christian invention. Christ was taken from the Pagan god Thor. Paganism evolved from people who drew pictures on caves. Magick, which involves the bodies energies is the only truth, along with science. Magick is a part of science. Really and truly the only real thing in existence is our own molecular structure and that of earth, which we have much to learn about. That is why "magick" is called "magick"

There is NO such thing as the Devil!!! Christians have devoted their their sorry lives empowering this thought, making it their reality. They can't take responsability for their actions. The wold would be such a BETTER place without the focus on this Devil person, that they have created. They have distorded the realities of so many, therefore, since there is a Devil, he tempts us and: 'it's not my fault, the Devil made me do it!'. The thought that there is a Devil has only created evil. We were not meant to be evil

I've read several of Deepak Chopra's books, and even own a few; I don't recall his having made such a statement. If you really want to understand his TEACHING, why not ask HIM? He has a website.

from an interview with Larry King:

KING: All right, give us your definition of God?

CHOPRA: Well, you spell it G-O-D. The generator, the organizer and the deliverer of the universe.

KING: Is it a he?

CHOPRA: It's an intelligence. It's not -- you know, that's the other mistake we make, is we tend to project how we think of ourselves onto divinity. So divinity being infinite, unbounded, eternal, beyond space and time, is not a he or a she, it's a field of intelligence.

He does not view evil in the way that christians do, no.

Here is the problem with those eastern teachings. They teach that there is no "BAD" in the world.

Say I find your family brutally rape, torture, then murder them. Then I rape and torture you. Did I do a bad thing? Do you want the DA to file charges on me. If you do you are as hypocritical as Chopra.

When your beliefs leave you without a leg to stand on, sit down and read the bible.

His teachings are nothing new. Just Old wine in new bottle (may be Western Bottles). Scan hindu scriptures and this guy's messages. They are the same. Both are considering stuff on relativism.

In some religions, there's not a "Devil." So he may just be trying to educate his listeners who have a Christian background. But without a direct quote or link, I can't say.

I have some questions in my mind about him.
