Lack of information, Fear of the unknown, Media stereotypes all 3 huge reasons why people dont revert to islam or even allow themselves to be educated on it. Most people want to believe what they thing is right and arent willing to explore any idea outside of that honestly with an open mind.

Because, not one human being really knows the truth,no matter what religion , what organization, political,or group,OPEC,NATO,United Nations, all the people in the world, the vast amount of all human beings are followers ,the rest are megalomaniac's ,the world will never be at peace because we are not perfect, all nations that are here today, were formed by killing each other ,seance tribesman until kingdoms ,until nations, all demanding the populace to do what they say, pray to whom they pray or worship, and if you did not you were killed,so if it was the year207 or 2007 no one has changed only technology has because everyone is still barbaric,it does not matter what religious group, country, our for-fathers killed billions since the beginnings of time, not one country has the right to commit genocide, there is no perfect person in the world and when some one tell someone else to kill some the person that tells them that is held more responsible then the person that committed the crime , this includes groups ,organization,or even country's

Some people convert to Islam (for a whole variety of reasons) but you need to know that masses of people who read the Bible convert to Christ and become Christians, including some Muslims, even at risk of losing their lives. Why would they do that?
Just a few days ago I heard a Christian missionary relate three accounts of Muslims who were converted to Christ in Islamic countries. One of them saw a vision, the other two read portions of the New Testament and discovered that Jesus is a real person, not just an argument against Christianity (as he is in the Qur'an). The difference between the Jesus of the Qur'an and the Christ of the Bible is monumental. That's why some Muslims end up as Christians.

That might be a bit hard for an obedient Muslim. He has to contend with some difficult Suras.
While most Muslims think of "Hard" Shari'a (including punishments such as amputation for petty theft) as primitive and barbaric, the Saudis have made it standard practice. In recent decades the Saudis have used their newfound oil wealth to fund huge campaigns not only to convert non-Muslims to Islam, but also to convert other Muslims to Wahabi thought. Further, control over the Pilgrimage to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina has aided the Saudis in spreading their extremely puritanical ideology throughout the Muslim World. Not only does the Pilgrimage bring millions of Muslims to Saudi Arabia every year, but the Saudis' wealth is interpreted by some as a reward for piety.

Because they are not allowed or taught how to see the true Light. Many religions would crumble under this simple concept. There is a higher power. Those that do not believe this, are to arrogant to allow themselves to see it or they feel it is some form of authority that they cannot stand for. Simple meditation and an open will teach you many things. This does not require religion, but it may lead you there.

I am non-religious and a former Christian. Part of the reason I left Christianity is that Christian theology (especially Jesus' divinity) is not supported by the Bible. The Qur'an provides very logical (no offense to Muslims) explanations of who Jesus is. It also brings clarity to other aspects of the Bible. Many Christians who convert to Islam are probably coming to the conclusion I mentioned. So I think the perspective of Islam outside of a Christian point of view is very different.
This is my opinion and I hope this wasn't too confusing.

Not everyone is fooled by fiction and unfounded claims. That's the way it is, and I'm sorry if a book written by an ignorant 15th century cult leader tells you otherwise.
You can fool many people - hey, almost half the population has a two-digit IQ - but you can not fool them all.

Sincerity has nothing to do with it. Those guys who beheaded 20 of their fellow Iraqis are no doubt sincere.
