Your cat has a virus, which has now spread to the other cats.
Cats do not get 'colds' per se - colds being minor respiratory upsets that humans suffer but shake off. Upper respiratory viruses are very hard to cure in cats, they can only be treated symptomatically to support the cats while they fight the virus off.
Vaccinations do not save animals from all illnesses, just the most common ones. If she is not up to date on her vaccinations (i.e having had one within the last year) she will not be protected.
At least take the first cat to the vet, sometimes they will give you medication for all the cats if it's clear they are suffering the same thing. Seriously though, if you can't afford the animals you have, why have them? You need to get this sorted because once a virus is prevalent among a group of cats it becomes rampant and can be very hard to get rid of.

I am so glad you asked this question! I bet your cats and your kitten is VERRY cute. I think your cat problem is that your kitten must have something! So take your kitten to the vet and then see what the vet tells you and tell them about how she has benn sneezing and your other cats to. Then see what is the pronlem. If it is not the kitten then take in your dog, and see what they say. If it is not your dog then tak ein the the cat that is sneezing the most, and if it ins still not that then make sure they all have there own litter box and that they do not go outside i fthe cats do and make sure to keep the kitten away from the other cats when they sleep but the kitten can play with the other cats and the one that sneezes the most should not sleep with the other cats eather, she should not sleep by the kitten eather. I really hope your cats get better!

You know, you will hate me for this, but you really should have taken the little lady to the vet before this happened. This baby was incubating this stuff when she came to you.
You need to call the vet and find out what he suggests. These upper respiratory infections can be viral or bacterial, the latter being much easier to treat. It could be somewhat like the common cold, that you just let it run its course. Or maybe the vet will suggest an intervention where you can just come and pick up the meds, based on a visit with only 1 animal. It is possible this is something that is just going around, and if so he will know about it. There is precious little you can do on your own; there aren't over-the-counter cold remedies for cats and dogs. But if your brood is healthy, they will probably be able to throw this off. If there are vet bills, though, your friend really should chip in a little to help you out, since it came to you because you were helping her out.
I once cat sat 68 cats. That is the truth. One came in with diarrhea, and guess what happened to everybody else? But, as they say, it passed. I cooked a lot of chicken and rice in the crockpot first, though, to tighten them up.
Good luck!

My cat sneezes and has a runny nose. After taking him to the vet and getting medicine it didn't clear up and the vet said it could be luekimia or a form of cat aids. I'm not sure if this can transfer to dogs. Just take one cat and one dog to the vet and hopefully if your vets like mine he will give them all the same antibiotics if it is an infection and charge you just for the two visits. I bet its a cold but its weird that your dogs have it because usually cats and dogs don't transfer stuff to one another. Good luck and hopefully everybody starts feeling better at your house. I started giveing my animals vitamins maybe you should start that. You can find them at most pet shop or at Wal-Mart for not much money. Comes in liquid form or pills you can crunch up. Has anybody been to a kennal or vet lately??? Three of mine came back home from the vet sick (when they where spayed)and he didn't charge me for the second visit just for the meds. Some vets have a form of credit you can apply for and some shelters will try to help you if you foster animals.

It could be an upper respiratory infection, which is common in kittens especially if it came from a shelter. Call your friend and ask where the cat came from. Sometimes the animal shelters will offer to give the adopted cat a prescription medication/antibiotic for free, and at a reduced cost for the other cats. This is also referred to as "kennel cough". But if it has spread that quickly you really should seek medical advice. Good luck.

My vet allows me to bring in just one animal and after the diagnosis is made, he gets me enough Rx for all. Perhaps yours will do the same, costs nothing to ask.
Your friend should share the cost of the vet visit I think.

oh jeeze, that's NOT good at all. Sneezing is a really big sign of feline leukemia. I had a cat with it and we had another cat who got his vaccines and he still contracted it from her. Take the one with the worst symptoms and have it tested. If it's positive, all your cats could be infected.

Sounds like a cold, which she probably passed to your other pets. Unfortunately, this is something that needs to be taken care of. Maybe your vet will allow you to set up some sort of payment plan?
