You're expecting something worse in a year or two? Or do you think it was strictly a smokescreen?

Considering the secretive way it started, and the early attempt to ram it through before it garnered the attention of the people, I'd say that, yes, it was a genuine attempt, not just a stunt.

Exactly. Yeah it was supposed to pass but this time the American people really got together on something and the Dems are trying to get their approval rating back up.
