No. Yellow Dye #5 is an additive that has been used since 1916 in a number of popular products like skim milk, yogurt, and macaroni and cheese. It is fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in food and soft drinks and, as such, is completely safe for consumers. If you want more information, check out the information on the FDA's website at http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/colorfac.html.

I have seen this myth busted before. Do not fret; you won't lose any sperm. However, if I remember correctly, Mountain Dew will shrink your sperm instead. I may be wrong, but it has been quite a whole since I have seen the program where it was debunked. As for Vault: I may have to research that one.

LOL- No, but I remember hearing that urban legend when I was in high school- No guy was caught dead drinking Mountain Dew, Mello Yello, or any other yellow knock-off. It's supposed to be a coloring called yellow 5 that would lower sperm count, but it is completely false. Cheers!

An ingredient in it, Yellow 5, kills sperm cells but there are so little ammounts in Mountain Dew that it is not a concern
